prepare a yellow cake mix per box directions
Using a cast iron skillet ( #8)
dot the bottom of the pan with 2 TBS butter
sprinkle 1/4 cup brown sugar over the bottom of pan
cover with pineapples (I use canned)
Pour prepared yellow cake batter over the top
Bake according to cake box directions – Cake will actually take a little longer than the box recommends due to the thickness, just watch it and the cake will be done after golden brown and when a toothpick is inserted into the center of the cake and comes out clean.
There you have the easiest, tastiest pineapple upside down cake in no time!
