F is for FINALLY FINISHED!

Long story short (because I have some crazy “Craigslist stories” to go along with this) I , after losts and lots of searching, found a beautiful piece of furniture!

Now, keep in mind I was searching for a versitile piece that she can use for her baby (as a changing table) , toddler, maybe even in her room as a teenager. You’d be surprised how this color looks paired up with an assortment of different colors!

I also invisioned mom being able to use this piece in her home. I love how unconventional pieces of furniture look as media storage, Television stand, a staple in a mud room, or even as a buffet at a dinner party…

With so many uses I invision my friend to LOVE her gift.

I did, however, miss my deadline. Her baby shower was last saturday.

{frown}

I didn’t show up empty handed. I went and bought some much needed essentials . She already knew what I had planned for her and she expects it to be great. So, it’s okay.

Well? Are you ready to see the before?

I think that’s the best part.

It was actually a great piece to begin with, great lines, details , and very solid.

The only downfall was a couple loose drawers, broken hardware, and a dated 70′s-ish yellow (that HAD to go!)

Here she is: the cause of my 4 day stiff neck , sore back and shoulders, and all around grief….

ahhh…my favorite thing : Before and After’s

    I actually started painting an old oak table that is in my craft room very similar color to this, but I still haven't finished it and I'd like to antique it as well. Seems like I have too many other projects that are taking up my time, but will eventually finish it!

  3. Just wanted to let you know that I featured this on FTF yesterday! Thanks for sharing and grab a featured button if you would like! :)

    Just stumbled on your blog – it is lovely! I was wondering if you could share the color of this dresser? I have such a hard time settling on a color, and I love this one! I have tried 4 turquoise samples and don't have the “this is IT!” feeling yet…

    I love it! And I love the decorating too – looks like it's from a magazine!
