I’ve been trying to make it a point to photograph regular food that I eat on an everyday basis. Purely to sharpen my photography experience. Just when I think a picture is perfect , time goes by, I look at it again only to realize it was a horrible picture! I sometimes get frustrated and think that I should wake up and be a professional photographer when in fact professionals have worked many many years to perfect their art . I have only been passionately shooting for maybe a year. Things take time. So, to make sure that I am constantly taking pictures for me to learn from I am shooting what I eat.
Here are a few photos that I’ve taken recently
and here is what I had for lunch today : Chicken and sausage fajita on sourdough
I started sauteing peppers, onions, and tomatoes from the garden . Chopped up a smoked sausage and shaved smoked chicken breast lunch meat added to the mixture to get a golden seared color . Placed on sourdough bread topped with sharp cheddar and swiss cheese. I place the open faced sandwich in a 450 deg. oven until bubbly and brown, closed it up and served with a side of sweet potato chips.
Back to photography, I’ve been focusing mainly on staging, lighting and over all color and composition of each photo. I feel like with each photo it’s slightly better . Opinions?Pin It
