Day #2 Another gift for everyone.
Homemade peanut butter (recipe included)
Day #3 A gift for the homemaker
very little to no-sew pillow (There’s a secret to making this gift in a matter of minutes!)
An upcycled customized candle holder
Day #4 A gift for the fury side of your family.
Dog food bowl stand made from a step stool
And today’s hand-made gift can be for the moms in your life. Have you ever met a mom that doesn’t have a thousand things going on in her life? Maybe I’m a little biased, but I think this a gift that a mom will love and it will help in getting her and her family’s life in order.
This too is an extremely easy project that can be made in no time (drying time takes a while…)
There’s a little secret that I like to create framed chalkboards and signs. Cabinet doors. These can be found at a second hand store ( Habitat for humanity re-store, Goodwill, etc.) or can be saved from a kitchen renovation. Either way a caniet door is a pre-finished and framed canvas waiting to be taken to its fullest potential.
With this project I simply started by taping off the “frame”
Chalkboard paint can be found just about anywhere these days. Lowes, wal-mart, Hobbie stores, etc. Just ask for it. There are even some tutorials floating around the web on how to create your own chalkboard paint.
I recommend doing at least 4 very thin coats. I have found this to be most effective.
That’s it. No sealing or anything. Just start your to-do list!
See you TOMORROW (11-17-12) for the SUPER-MEGA giveaway on FOLKLIFESTYLE.COM!!
