For all returning visitors: What you have know to be MommaHen’s Coop is no more. I’ve recently come to the realization that other bloggers, who I once compared my self to, have homes that start out beautiful. They hire out all of their renovations. They have fancy designers and funds to back to all. Comparison games are over. I going to be me. So, who am I? I’m Amy, I’m real. If you want to put a label on us, I suppose you would call us lower middle class. We don’t have a lot of money, we don’t have a big fancy house or fancy cars, I don’t have an organized-well-made blog designed by a professional. I am just like you, living pay check-to-pay check while balancing bills and necessities- all while still having all the things we want. Here on my blog I share how we manage living the dream life with very little to no money. Stepping outside of the big-box stores, using your creativity, and reusing things you have, you too, can have everything you’ve ever wanted. Anything you see here on my blog was by us- the food has been cooked, styled, and photographed by me, renovations were designed by myself and executed by my husband, it’s all us. No professionals. So, what do you get when you have one modern country gal, one hard working husband that can do and create anything he puts his mind to, three amazing children, throw in a few animals, and one total renovation home: Momma Hen’s Coop. Welcome! Click around and be inspired.
I’m Amy Thayer, the author of MommaHen’s Coop. My number one passion: being a mom. That will always come first. I imagine that’s why you find my blog to be disorganized, unprofessional, and sporadic.
Following closely behind, my passions consist of photography, food/cooking, writing, creating. You can find just about any sort of inspiration here on MommaHen’s Coop. Just like you, I’m no professional, I do what I love and learn from each and every experience. I’ll share my trials and tribulations and- by all means- please share any recommended improvements. I’m here to help you and you are here to help me!
Lets be honest, I not only blog to give inspiration and share the things I love doing, it’s also my job. As a stay at home mom I had to come up with a way to help pay the bills. I get paid when you are here- the longer you are here, the more I get paid. Something you don’t like about my blog (hard to follow, not enough DIY, etc…) let me know! Help me improve: firstname.lastname@example.org
My husband is no professional- per se- However, no matter what idea I throw his way, he manages to make it happen. That’s not without a lot of trial and error (from both of us!) It just goes to show you that YOU too can make it happen. With a lot of initiative and motivation you can do whatever you put your mind too. My husband, Jason, decided one day that he was tired of working for someone else and helping them get rich. He decided to open his own business, 8 years ago. To this day he runs a successful body and frame shop, here next to our home.
Be inspired! We here at MommaHen’s Coop are about creating the most, with the least. Enjoy!
